Sitting listening to CD remembering those late night shows in Lake Tahoe and Vegas and sharing a drink or two. Those times never to be repeated.

i now own the largest collection of Hammond Organs in the US and rent them out as vintage instruments. Also got to be a huge fan of LP post mortem and am searching for a LP convention of tribute and memories to rekindle the style and keep the overthetop bop alive .. anyone ? Can we? Dare we?

Hello, just wanted to say that I used to play PRETTY ACRES regularly and really do miss it.
Did Louis Prima ever know anyone in the SEGARI family. Growing up, I would always hear my dad talk about him and how their paths may have crossed.
Thanks,

Lisa, Las Vegas was always considered home, as Louis worked there 32 weeks a year. We also owned a golf course there called FAIRWAY TO THE STARS. Louis' heart always remained in New Orleans, with his Mom, Dad and family. He always maintained a second home there and also owned a golf course, across Lake Ponchartrain, in Covington,La. It was called PRETTY ACRES. Thanks for asking. Always, Gia

Hi Gia,
Your article has a lot of interesting tidbits of info on your late husband, and it's great to see that you're setting the record straight on past misconceptions about your husband.
I'm getting the impression that Louis loved his work, and putting his band together was an effort of love. You don't see a lot of that kind of effort going into music anymore.
The only question I had that didn't seem to be answered in any of the articles I read about your husband, was where exactly did he call home? Was it New Orleans or Las Vegas? Thanks for any help you can give me in this area. I'm doing research on singers that retired in Las Vegas, and all I'm really finding is music legends that enjoyed performing in Las Vegas but retired elsewhere. But I have to admit, I didn't realize how colorful Las Vegas’ past was until I started doing this research!!
Have a wonderful morning!!
