I must express my deep, deep sadness regarding the TRAGIC death of Michael Jackson. There is so much to be learned by this horrible event. First, my sympathy goes out to the entire family. I can remember his early recordings and performances, thinking, finally there is a true, all around, entertainer, so much like my Louis. He could sing, dance and light up a stage. Sadly, we didn't just lose him this past week, we lost him years ago. No one stepped up or in, to try and save his life. The industry turned it's back. The agents and managers, the business managers, the leaches and blood suckers, the doctors and so-called friends, even those closest to him, just kept taking, never giving. How long can people continue doing this? I admire Maria Cole, who stepped up with tough love, to save her daughter Natalie's life. How many more do we have to hear about, Brittany, Lindsey, Anna Nicole , Jim Morrison, Elvis on and on and on. Has greed and money become the industry's god? When will the entertainment industry say enough is enough and stop promoting, violence, sx and drugs and filthy language in music and film, just for the financial gain? WAKE UP!!! We're losing everything beautiful, heart, soul and spiritual, in life. We must have hope that this corruption will end. Thank God that we have a history of wonderful music and film to look back on and LEARN FROM. |

I was lucky to see his homecoming show at the 2002 N.O.J.H.F.. I was especially struck by how he often he made eye contact, which made me (like others I'm sure) feel that he and the band were channelling Louis's spirit and kick-ass music, just for me! I then figured out, as I still believe today, THAT'S A BORN ENTERTAINER AND MUSICIAN! Thank you Sam, for your body of work and human spirit and I will do my best to promote yours and Louis's legacies. |

I want to see the show that is going on in heaven right now. Sam and Louie headlining with the Rat Pack and Elvis as the following act. I saw Sam with my Uncle Tony, who knew Sam. He introduced me and he signed one of the show bills. I have it hanging on my wall. Today I am listening to nothing but Sam and Louie. |

I saw Sam by chance at the Trop in the late 80's. At the time I didn't know who Sam or Louis Prima and Keely Smith was ( I do now and have lots of their music) but I immediately knew he was something unique and special. Simply a great showman. I've also had the pleasure of seeing Keely at the Desert Inn Lounge who brought tears to my Aunt's eyes having so many memories of her in the same place 40 years prior. |
